Shaquille O'Neal Eliminated at WrestleMania 32's Andre the Giant Battle Royal
The Inside the NBA crew had an off day, so Shaquille O'Neal decided to spend his Sunday night wrestling.
The future Hall of Fame big man and current NBA analyst was a surprise entrant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium.
WWE captured video footage of the Big Aristotle charging to the ring with a purpose:
Unfortunately, Shaq's run in the ring didn't last long, as the group simultaneously eliminated him and Big Show.
After the Battle Royal, Shaq challenged Big Show to a future match, per WWE.com:
Despite the 15-time NBA All-Star not lasting long in the Battle Royal, it didn't take long before the Internet went crazy. NBA on TNT got excited about its own taking part in the match:
Bleacher Report provided the update within a few minutes of Shaq getting thrown over the top rope by half of the participants:
Then, NBA on TNT got sad quickly:
Big Show and the four-time NBA champion's staredown in the middle of the ring was a Kodak moment, but WWE Creative Humor was hoping for something more than that:
Although his run didn't last long, it was still an entertaining few minutes for Shaq fans all over the world. He didn't leave as big of an impact as William Perry did by eliminating Big John Studd at WrestleMania 2, but it was still fun to see Shaq in the ring.
