Recap
As the PDC's official Twitter account shared, Thornton, Chisnall and Smith were locked in a three-way battle for survival entering Judgement Night:
All three faced top opposition in Cardiff, as Thornton faced off against Lewis, Smith had to go up against Taylor and Chizzy met Wright.
Smith was the first to fall, losing 7-5 against the Power. The two kept things close until the 11th leg, when Taylor switched gears and showed why he's still among the best players in the world. He first took out 80 to finish on double five and secure at least a draw, before claiming the win with a 124 on the bull.

The Power thought it was a “strange game” and praised the 25-year-old for a fine debut Premier League campaign, per PDC Darts:
Chizzy lost to Snakebite by the same score in the next match to bring a premature end to Judgement Night, as the result ensured Thornton's spot in the next round before the Thorn took on Lewis.
Wright's form has looked spotty, at best, of late after a lightning start to the Premier League, but he looked to be back at his best against Chisnall, who made too many mistakes to overcome on Thursday.
He missed the bull for the lead in the first leg, which set the tone for the rest of the night, as Snakebite quickly ran out to a 6-3 lead. Chizzy landed the next two legs to give himself a shot at a draw, but Wright bounced back with a 13-darter to end Chisnall's Premier League campaign.
Live Darts couldn't help themselves:
Van Gerwen and Van Barneveld served up the tie of the night, a 6-6 draw that saw the Order of Merit leader come back from a 5-2 deficit. Barney always seems to reserve his top darts for his Dutch compatriot, and Thursday's clash was no different.
Van Barneveld dropped the first leg but won four on the trot to race out to a lead, backed by a Cardiff crowd that favoured the underdog. Mighty Mike averaged over 105 and still managed only a draw, an indication of how well both men played. Barney missed one match dart.
Wade secured a draw against world champion Anderson, who missed tops for 79 in the final leg to grab the win and had to watch as Taylor increased his lead in the standings. Lewis continued his fine form with a 7-4 win over Thornton.
