Per Mertesacker Reveals Bob Marley Was Childhood Hero in Q&A with Kieran Gibbs

Among the startling revelations of a quick-fire Q&A session between Per Mertesacker and Kieran Gibbs was the discovery that the German defender's childhood hero was Bob Marley.

The Arsenal duo quizzed one another on a number of topics ranging from skydiving and snakes to Jay Z and Beyonce in a video posted to the Premier League club's YouTube account.

In it, Mertesacker reveals he prefers Dennis Bergkamp over Thierry Henry, while Gibbs admits he admires Brazil's Ronaldo over Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mertesacker also said his favourite goal was Zlatan Ibrahimovic's bicycle kick against England and that he would wear a tracksuit if he were a manager.

The 26-year-old Gibbs said he was an Arsenal and Wimbledon fan growing up and that his favourite sportsperson outside football is Roger Federer, and he might also have inadvertently confessed his admiration for goldfish...
