Maple Leafs' Jonathan Bernier Accidentally Spits on Someone, Instantly Feels Bad

Kyle NewportMar 29, 2016

Bernier did not see any time on the ice during Monday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. At one point on the bench, he decided to spit—without looking both ways before doing so.

Someone skated by at that exact moment and got hit by Bernier's spit. And the look on the Maple Leafs goalie's face says it all.

Bernier felt bad about the situation and wanted to personally apologize, according to Sportsnet's Christine Simpson:

It was obviously an accident, but at least Bernier looked to make things right.
