Chelsea Transfer News: Leonardo Bonucci, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Top Rumours

Christopher SimpsonMar 28, 2016

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has dismissed speculation he could be reuniting with former Bianconeri boss Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

According to Oliver Todd of the MailOnline, Italy manager Conte is "expected" to arrive at Stamford Bridge in the summer, but Bonucci won't be following suit. He said:

"

He's the coach who took me onto the next level, right from the day he arrived at Juve.

We had a few disagreements at the very start, partly because I wasn't in good shape, but he taught me a lot on a tactical level. If I am one of the best today, part of that is down to him.

The most I've followed him to is to get a coffee. I don't know what the boss will do, but I've signed a renewal with Juventus and they are all I am thinking about.

The 28-year-old signed a new five-year deal with Juve last summer, as revealed by Squawka News:

Bonucci has risen to the top of the game and is not only one of the best defenders in Serie A but perhaps Europe as well. ESPN FC's David Amoyal is an admirer:

According to Squawka, the centre-back has won 58 per cent of his aerial duels this season, and in 29 Serie A appearances, he has made 130 clearances and 72 interceptions.

One of those interceptions, to deny Gonzalo Higuain his 25th goal of the campaign, was remarkable:

Matteo Bonetti of beIN Sports thought as much:

Unfortunately for Chelsea, it seems they'll have to look elsewhere for a replacement for John Terry.

The Blues may also need to replace goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois if he leaves Stamford Bridge this summer having sold Petr Cech to Arsenal last year.

According to the MailOnline's Kieran Gill, the Belgian has not committed his future to the club and could be an alternate target for Real Madrid if they cannot sign David De Gea from Manchester United, so the Blues are eyeing AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 17-year-old made his debut for the Rossoneri in October at just 16 years and eight months old and has since kept Diego Lopez out of the team, establishing himself as the No. 1. Here are some of his impressive highlights so far:

Bonetti hailed his command of the area and unflappable nature:

While he may lack the experience of Courtois, Donnarumma seems to have an incredibly bright future ahead of him. A big-money move could put unnecessary pressure on his young shoulders, but so far the youngster has handled everything thrown at him very well, so he could be an outstanding capture.

Lastly, according to the Mirror's David Maddock, Chelsea are hoping to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton, but the Toffees will reportedly demand "well in excess of £50 million" from them.

The striker's value has sky-rocketed after bagging 25 goals this season, and his age will also drive the price up—it's easy to forget Lukaku is only 22 given his powerful stature and the fact he's already made 118 appearances for Everton, after making almost 100 outings for Anderlecht before Chelsea signed him as an 18-year-old.

That Chelsea let him go was a surprise, as he has all the makings of a world-class striker and his combination of power and skill is somewhat reminiscent of Blues legend Didier Drogba.

He'd make a phenomenal signing, but as Everton will demand a large fee after paying so much for him themselves, Chelsea may be reluctant to do the deal. Lukaku may also not wish to return to a club where he was scarcely given the chance to prove himself.
