The cast of General Hospital better get ready to embrace debate. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that Stephen A. Smith will appear on an episode of the long-running soap opera.

"I have four older sisters, and when we came home from school, all the TVs in the house were on General Hospital," Smith said, per Diane Lamb of ESPNFrontRow.com. "Since I wasn't allowed outside until I finished my homework, I watched the soap every day."

A couple of weeks ago, Smith shared some photos from the set:

One of Smith's First Take colleagues, Skip Bayless, couldn't help but playfully jab Stephen A. ahead of the episode:

Smith's first appearance on General Hospital was a cameo in 2007, according to Lamb.
