Colorado Mammoth Goalie Alex Buque Decks Opposing Player with Devastating Hit

Kyle NewportMar 27, 2016

Opponents beware: Colorado Mammoth goalie Alex Buque isn't afraid to come out from between the pipes and play some defense.

During Saturday's game, the Calgary Roughnecks' Karsen Leung found that out the hard—and extremely painful—way.

Just as Leung hauled in a pass while running toward the Colorado net, Buque left his position to make a play and stop a scoring chance before it ever got started. As you might imagine, it's pretty brutal when a 5'10", 230-pound goalie lays out an unsuspecting 6'0", 180-pound player.
