Chelsea Transfer News: Edinson Cavani Deal Urged, Fresh Radja Nainggolan Rumours
Chelsea managerial target Antonio Conte has been "urged" to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani if he arrives at Stamford Bridge this summer. Plus, the Blues are set for a duel with the Italy coach's former club Juventus as they look to recruit AS Roma's Radja Nainggolan.
Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri is also said to be interested in Cavani, as is Jose Mourinho, who has been tipped to replace Louis van Gaal at the Manchester United helm this summer.
When asked about the trio, Cavani's agent and brother, Fernando Guglielmone, replied, per the Mirror's Darren Lewis: “They are three big coaches, but for Edy I’d prefer the attacking game of Conte or Allegri.”

Those comments appear to indicate Cavani is open to a move away from Parc des Princes after several seasons playing out of position while Zlatan Ibrahimovic has occupied PSG's central attacking berth.
The Uruguay international recently intensified rumours of a Ligue 1 exit after he confessed he'd be open to a Premier League move in an interview with Fox Sports (h/t Metro's Max Miller):
"Honestly, it would be wrong if I said no. It’s is one of the most beautiful and important leagues in the world. When, as a player, you have dreamed of playing at the highest level, it’s normal that it gets your attention to be linked as a target as a possible addition to important clubs in the world.
The reality is that I’m here [at PSG]. We will see in the future, but it’s true that the Premier League is very appealing.
"
Chelsea currently have Spain international Diego Costa leading their line, but with loan misfit Radamel Falcao set to return to parent club AS Monaco this summer, there may be space for a high-profile addition up top.
Cavani has scored 19 goals in 42 appearances for PSG this season, and despite being fielded largely out wide due to Ibrahimovic's presence, the Guardian's Michael Cox has described him as a well-balanced striker:
The Daily Mail's Simon Jones reported on Thursday that Chelsea would have to fork out £25 million in order to land Nainggolan, but Allegri's Juve side will present stiff competition for the midfielder.
The race is heating up in pursuit of the Belgium international as Conte reportedly prepares to inject some Serie A influence in west London when he leaves the Italy helm after Euro 2016.
But Italian champions Juve will compete with the Blues, who have already contacted Roma regarding the player's availability, according to Sky Italy (via beIN Sports' Tancredi Palmeri):
Nainggolan has averaged 1.8 tackles per game this season, according to WhoScored.com—the joint-highest ratio of any Roma player.
The 27-year-old moved to Roma in January 2014 and helped the Giallorrosi beat Conte's Juve just 12 days after making his debut, winning 1-0 in the quarter-finals of that's year's Coppa Italia.
Conte is reportedly close to being appointed Chelsea manager after the European Championships, and his knowledge of Serie A's top assets may heavily influence the club's recruitment drive this summer.
