Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly eyeing an audacious £50 million deal for Liverpool frontman Daniel Sturridge, while the Reds are said to be chasing Chelsea defender Nathan Ake this summer.

According to the Sun's Neil Ashton, Sturridge is "considering his future at Anfield," and PSG are reportedly preparing for the departures of attackers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.

Ashton mentioned the French giants will send delegates to watch England face the Netherlands next Tuesday, with Sturridge expected to play a part in the Three Lions' friendly at Wembley.

The Englishman has endured a rocky past 18 months, missing 57 games since the start of the 2014-15 season, according to Transfermarkt, but Sturridge now boasts a respectable record of seven goals in just 11 starts this term.

Ibrahimovic's contract at Parc des Princes will expire this summer, and it appears unlikely he'll pen new terms. Meanwhile, Cavani has reportedly grown disgruntled since arriving in Paris almost three years ago, per John Edwards of MailOnline.

Sturridge has two goals in his last two Premier League games for Liverpool, and writer Deji Kofi Faremi noted the 26-year-old as a prolific forward when he's able to string together consistent spells of fitness:

According to Ashton, manager Jurgen Klopp doesn't want to lose his striker, but PSG may offer an intriguing option for Sturridge, especially with spaces opening up in manager Laurent Blanc's attacking line.

Speculation regarding Sturridge's Anfield indecision arose after the winter transfer window, and Klopp addressed rumoured doubts as a nonissue last month, per the Guardian's Andy Hunter:

"

I have spoken to him but not about this. I didn’t ask him if he wanted to leave. Why should I? It is not a situation to ask him that. He has been in training for two days. I don’t go over and ask "Daniel, I hear you want to leave? Is there truth in it?" I don’t believe it is like this. If Daniel will come, or another player on another day, and ask me, then I will talk about it but I have no feeling that Daniel is thinking like this so stop thinking about it.

"

Sturridge arrived at Liverpool in a move from Stamford Bridge, and Klopp is reportedly examining Chelsea defender Ake—on loan at Watford—who could follow the same path, per the Telegraph (h/t Daily Star's Rhys Turrell).

Ake arrived at Vicarage Road on temporary terms in August 2015 and has settled in well under manager Quique Sanchez Flores. WhoScored.com noted his tackling and interception proficiency this term:

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a productive spell with the Hornets, and the Telegraph reported the Blues will demand £10 million for his services, although they're yet to decide if they'll actually let the player leave.

Exiled Jose Enrique will leave Anfield this summer, and the Reds are expected to sign a new left-back, with former Netherlands under-21 international Ake fitting those requirements, not to mention the fact he counts toward the home-grown player quota.
