Real Madrid Transfer News: Alvaro Morata Comments on Juventus Exit Rumours

Gianni VerschuerenMar 23, 2016

Juventus forward Alvaro Morata has expressed his frustration with the uncertainty over his future, telling reporters a return to Real Madrid is a "real possibility" and he would like to know where to buy a house.

Speaking to Cadena Cope (h/t Football Italia), Morata made it clear he wants to know where he'll be playing his football next season as soon as possible:

"

Speaking about next year is difficult for me, because I don’t have the certainty of knowing where I will be and this is a strange situation.

I can’t wait for the question of the re-purchase to be resolved. I’m happy in Turin, but I want to be able to know where I should buy a house. I want to know as soon as possible where I’ll be.

I’m happy at Juventus, but returning to Madrid is a real possibility because there’s a contract, it was all already written. I just want all of this to be resolved.

The Spain international moved to Turin in 2014, but Los Blancos maintain a buyback clause, and nobody knows whether the Spanish giants will use it or not.

The 23-year-old has endured a season filled with ups and downs in Turin, as he lost his starting position to Mario Mandzukic after a lengthy scoreless streak. Per WhoScored.com, he has only netted six times in Serie A this season.

But when called upon, he has performed in the big matches, including a fantastic showing in the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich. David Cartlidge of beIN Sports USA was impressed by what he saw:

Unsurprisingly, his strong showing led to speculation over his future almost immediately. ASSergio Gomez claimed Los Blancos are planning on using their clause to bring him back to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, only to sell him on to Arsenal for a profit.

While Morata is unlikely to agree to such a deal―he has a say in whether or not he returns to Madrid―he does seem eager to prove himself for his boyhood club.

The former Getafe man maintains he's happy in Turin, but if Real promise consistent minutes and a chance to compete for a starting position, Morata is likely to agree to a return.

Here's a look at the player Morata has become during his time in Italy:

His raw strength, vision and deceptive speed make him an ideal striker to play in front of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, allowing him to focus more on creating for his team-mates and less on scoring himself.

Current Los Blancos striker Karim Benzema has a similar profile―although he's a more gifted scorer.

Morata's return to Madrid seemed doubtful at the end of last season, but the emergence of Paulo Dybala and Mandzukic's strong form at Juve mean he'll face a battle to regain his starting position even if he does return to his best.

That would make the decision to leave the Bianconeri a lot easier. And, per ESPN FC's David Amoyal, the player's desire will play a big factor in how this transfer saga plays out:

Per Gomez, Real's clause will be valid this summer and the next, so Los Blancos can afford to be patient and take their time to assess all of the options.

It seems Morata would prefer a quick resolution, however, and if Real stall, they might just push him back into the waiting arms of the Old Lady.
