Memphis Depay Could Wear 'Batman v Superman' Boots for the Netherlands

While no Manchester United fan would dare describe Memphis Depay as a superhero after his exploits at Old Trafford this season, the Dutchman plans to be involved in the launch of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice one way or another.

The Mirror reports that the 22-year-old could be in line to wear a pair of limited-edition Under Armour Speedform boots for his country when the Netherlands face France in Amsterdam on Friday.

His reported choice of footwear for the clash, sure to make football purists the world over weep, will sell for an eye-watering £160 a pair.

Memphis arrived from PSV Eindhoven last summer for £25 million and has so far failed to endear himself to the Red Devils faithful.

Still, anything's better than his effort on Mother's Day.
