Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Bayley, Asuka and the rest of the NXT Divas in the main event scene get a week off so Alexa Bliss can battle Crazy Mary Dobson.
Dobson is known on the indy scene for her hardcore style and willingness to do things most women wouldn't consider for any amount of money.
Out of the two, Bliss is the only one signed to a contract, so the outcome seems obvious. What matters is them putting on a good match.
Bliss is still making a name for herself outside of Team BAMF, and facing someone with Dobson's reputation is a good way for her to prove how tough she is.
The Tag Teams
American Alpha and The Vaudevillains will be in action this week to determine which team gets to challenge The Revival at TakeOver: Dallas for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
This should be one of the better matches of the night because both teams bring a lot to the table. Simon Gotch and Aiden English like to keep things grounded, while Jason Jordan and Chad Gable prefer to wrestle a quicker style.
The technical ability between these two teams is enough to make things interesting, but having a title shot on the line ups the ante.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are fresh off a successful defense against Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady at Roadblock, but they won't have much downtime before facing one of these two teams.
Either duo would make great opponents for Dash and Dawson, but seeing as heel vs. heel matches rarely happen, American Alpha seems like the better choice.
The Men
Elias Samson will look to continue his recent winning streak against Johnny Gargano during Wednesday's show.
Samson has racked up an impressive number of wins over the past few months, but Gargano is not the kind of person who can be taken lightly.
If Samson can get the win, we may see him end up with a spot on the TakeOver card. Gargano, on the other hand, isn't in the same position due to the number of losses he has taken in recent weeks.
The second singles bout of the night will see Finn Balor battle Rich Swann in a non-title match. While a win over Balor would be great for Swann, it doesn't seem likely at this point.
Balor is already booked to face Samoa Joe at TakeOver: Dallas, so the purpose of this bout is to give him a warm-up before he defends the NXT Championship against Joe.
Swann is a talented competitor with a lot to offer, but he is still new to the scene. Just being in a match with the champion is great exposure for the indy standout, so he even benefits if he loses.
Bull Dempsey is scheduled to make one of his last appearances in NXT when he takes on Danny Burch. This is the one time that it seems necessary to spoil the result.
The bout will never get started, as both men will be attacked by Samoa Joe, leading to a fight between Joe and Balor at ringside.
How else would you explain Dempsey vs. Burch being the main event while Balor is on the undercard?
This week's show might not look like an instant classic, but it should produce some fun wrestling and a few storyline developments. What are you looking forward to during Wednesday's episode of NXT?
