Barcelona's Leo Messi Appears to Injure Spectator with Stray Shot vs. Villarreal

Lionel Messi has a ferocious left foot on him, as one Villarreal fan can confirm.

The Argentinian hit a rare off-target effort during Barcelona's visit to Villarreal on Sunday, and his stray shot appeared to strike a member of the home crowd behind the goal.

The woman appeared to be shaken by the incident and was treated by medical staff in the stands as her side came from two goals down to pick up a point from the defending champions.

We hope she's back on her feet soon enough.

Apparently Messi's ferocious shot did, indeed, do damage. Not only did it apparently break her hand (according to Esquire), the woman was also a Real Madrid fan! 

With the story spreading, she told Spanish radio (h/t AS), "I'm a Real Madrid fan, I didn't like him before, now I like him even less."
