This is what the team standings look like at the moment:

1. Penn State 68.5
2. Ohio St. 54.0
3. Iowa 48.5
4. Oklahoma St. 46
5. Missouri 42.5
6. Nebraska 35.5
7. NC State 32.5
8. Michigan 32
9. Virginia Tech30.5
10. Cornell28.5

The defending champions Ohio State trail the powerhouse Penn State Nittany Lions by 14.5 points heading into the semifinal round later Friday night.

Penn State, after relinquishing the title to the Buckeyes last year, had won four straight titles from 2011 to 2014.

Ohio State is the only school that's really in shouting distance of Penn State at the moment, as third-place Iowa is 20 points behind the leader.

Penn State will have five wrestlers going in semifinal matches, while Ohio State will roll out four. If the Buckeyes want any chance of repeating, they will need some big results Friday night. The semifinal round begins at 8 p.m. ET.
