6 Ways WWE Can Improve the Wyatt Family

The Doctor Chris MuellerMar 17, 2016

The Wyatt Family is one of the most intriguing and physically imposing stables in WWE history, but for one reason or another, WWE has dropped the ball with the group.

Bray Wyatt is a great performer both in the ring and on the mic, and Luke Harper has shown us time and time again how skilled he is as a wrestler. Erick Rowan is a brute, and Braun Strowman is just plain scary.

How these guys aren't at the top of WWE's list of priorities is a mystery because they have so much to offer. They have seen moderate success, but when it comes to big matches, they are almost always on the losing side.

This slideshow will look at some of the ways WWE management can get the group back on track and give these four guys the push they deserve.

Send Braun Strowman Back to NXT

1 of 6

Strowman is an intimidating figure, but ever since he debuted, he has added little to The Wyatt Family.

Harper, Rowan and Wyatt are all big guys in their own right, so adding someone who is slightly larger isn't helping the group in any way, especially since he isn't being used as anything more than an enforcer.

Had Strowman been given time to develop his character in NXT, he might have made a good addition to the stable, so perhaps sending him back to the developmental brand is what he needs.

Tyson Kidd was going nowhere when he decided to take some time and help the NXT roster. When he returned, he was pushed with Cesaro as a tag team and the two found great success.

NXT has proved to be a great place for the future of the company to hone their skills and perfect the little details of their characters. If Strowman is given a chance to succeed in the minor leagues, he might be able to add more value on the main roster.

Take a Hiatus

Sometimes the best thing for a WWE Superstar is to take some time off, regroup and return with a vengeance.

Right now, The Wyatt Family isn't doing anything to show off the talent the group has. Wyatt constantly loses big matches, and the rest of his minions are doing even less to prove their worth.

This isn't their fault, though. The problem comes from management not knowing how to use the group to its fullest potential.

Two years ago, Wyatt and his clan of weirdos were poised to be a big deal in WWE. Wyatt was feuding with the biggest names in the company, and the team of Harper and Rowan were having incredible matches with The Usos, Gold and Stardust, and The Shield.

If WWE takes them off TV for a few months, giving them a big push when they return would be justified. The fans like The Wyatt Family, and they say absence makes the heart grow fonder. If fans are given the chance to miss them, the WWE Universe might appreciate them even more.

Give Wyatt a Winning Streak

3 of 6

Bray Wyatt is portrayed as a dangerous individual, but you wouldn't know it from looking at his win-loss record.

It seems like every time Wyatt enters into a feud with a major Superstar, he comes up on the losing end. How are we supposed to view him as a threat if he can't win regularly?

While his character doesn't live on victories and defeats like John Cena, he needs to have his hand raised occasionally if he is going to be looked at as a major player.

One way to remedy this is to give him a nice long winning streak. Even if he is just putting down midcard stars, a string of wins at pay-per-views will still help build him back up.

Wyatt is a unique talent who deserves better than the treatment he has received. If the company wants him to get over, it occasionally needs to put him over. It's that simple.

Put Luke Harper in a More Prominent Role

4 of 6

Wyatt is the leader of his clan, but Harper is easily the most talented inside the ring. This is why he needs to be pushed hard through the rest of 2016.

To see someone of Harper's size do the things he does is impressive, to say the least. Not many 300-pound wrestlers can hit a suicide dive or keep up with the best technical wrestlers in the company, but he makes it look easy.

At one time, Harper and Rowan were dominating the tag team division. They tore the house down with The Usos on several occasions, but they have been relegated to enforcer roles lately, and that simply won't do.

A short reign as intercontinental champion isn't enough. While he might not be ready to chase the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he certainly deserves to be in matches against the biggest stars in the company.

Keeping him in The Wyatt Family gives the group a little more credibility, but he needs to be given more to do. There's no reason Wyatt can't take a backseat for a little while so Harper can have his time in the spotlight.

Give Someone a Title

5 of 6

Harper held the IC title for a short time after WWE broke the group up, but as a stable, nobody in the faction has held a championship in WWE.

People like to say the members of The Wyatt Family don't need titles because of the nature of their characters, but pro wrestling is all about who holds the belts.

Whether Wyatt wins a singles title or two of the four members hold the WWE Tag Team Championships, giving someone in the group a belt will improve their situation.

Frankly, it's shocking Wyatt hasn't been integrated into the world title scene yet. He is one of the best talkers on the roster, and he could make things a lot more interesting if he is chasing the champion.

Turn the Group Babyaface

6 of 6

When a Superstar's career hits a wall, sometimes the best option is to turn them heel or babyface to refresh their character. Maybe it's time WWE tested the waters with a Wyatt Family face turn.

The WWE Universe loves these bearded brawlers. It's obvious when you see an entire arena filled with fans holding up lights during their entrance.

While their gimmick might seem better suited in the role of bad guys, giving them the chance to connect with the crowd in a different way might be the key to turning things around.

Wyatt wouldn't have to pander to the fans to make this work. All he would have to do is focus his energy on the evil forces in WWE.

Imagine how great a feud between The Authority and The Wyatt Family would be. The Authority is the establishment, and The Wyatt Family are about as antiestablishment as it gets.

Nobody thought The Undertaker could be a babyface when he first debuted, and he has become one of the best heroes in the history of wrestling. Wyatt may never reach the same level as The Deadman, but he deserves the chance to try.

These are just some of the ways The Wyatt Family can be improved, but there's always another option. What do you think is the best way for WWE to make The Wyatt Family better?
