Linebacker Courtney Upshaw was with the Baltimore Ravens throughout his entire career, but he has found a new home.

The Atlanta Falcons announced they have agreed to terms with Upshaw. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport initially reported the news.

The Falcons weren't the only team that expressed interest in Upshaw. According to Peter Schrager of FoxSports.com, Upshaw met with the New York Jets on Thursday.

Upshaw is a solid player, though he hasn't exactly put up eye-popping numbers since joining the league:

Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller commented on Upshaw's early failure to live up to his potential:

Still, Upshaw's durability should not be overlooked in the physically grinding NFL. He played a full 16 games in each of his four seasons for the Ravens and is only 26 years old. While the linebacker hasn't turned into the superstar some envisioned when he was a second-round pick in 2012 out of Alabama, the Falcons can rely on his ability to remain on the field.

Gordon McGuinness of Pro Football Focus pointed to that as a strength when evaluating the linebacker: "Upshaw (54.7) has yet to develop as a pass-rusher since entering the league in 2012, but at the very least, he is a good run defender."
