Matt Moore Re-Signs with Dolphins: Latest Contract Details and Reaction
The Miami Dolphins signed backup quarterback Matt Moore to a two-year, $3.5 million deal on Tuesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
"He likes Miami," Moore's agent, Lynn Lashbrook, told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. "He and Ryan [Tannehill] get along great."
Moore met with the Dallas Cowboys, and other teams were interested in his services, per Jackson. But he ultimately decided to re-sign with Miami.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"He was very impressed with the new coach [Adam Gase]," Lashbrook added.
Moore, 31, has spent the last five seasons with the Dolphins and the last four seasons as Ryan Tannehill's backup. With Tannehill appearing in every game in his career, Moore has attempted just 30 passes in the past four years and appeared in just six games, throwing for 219 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.
He threw only one pass in 2015.
Moore spent his first three seasons with the Carolina Panthers before joining Miami in the 2011 season. He appeared in 13 games that year, throwing for 2,497 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions, but became the backup the next season after Tannehill was drafted.
The fact that Moore seemingly works well with Tannehill and is an affordable, experienced veteran makes his return a positive move for Miami. With a new head coach in Gase now running the offense and running back Lamar Miller gone, the team will have a different look on that side of the ball in 2016.
If Tannehill were to suffer an injury, Moore will maintain stability at the position despite the changes this offseason to the Dolphins.
