Equipment or no equipment, Vancouver Canucks goalie Jacob Markstrom is willing to endure puck-to-skin contact in order to get the job done.
Just past the midway point in the second period of Monday night's game against the Winnipeg Jets, Markstrom lost both his blocker and stick. Rather than protect himself, he used what he had to keep the Jets from lighting the lamp.

Perhaps Markstrom should have thrown his blocker and stick on the bench, opting to stay barehanded. He made 24 saves on 29 shots in a 5-2 loss.
