Leicester City Fan Persuaded by Wife to Give Up Season Ticket Before Title Run

One Leicester City fan must be watching his club's incredible title challenge with mixed feelings after his wife persuaded him to give up his season ticket at the end of the last campaign.

Kate Diamond tweeted on Monday that she had asked her husband to give up his ticket for the following season in April 2015, as the team languished near the bottom of the Premier League.

Little were they to know that the Foxes were about to embark on a truly incredible run: avoiding relegation in 2014/15 before storming to a five-point lead at the top of league the following March.

Unfortunately, some people have taken Mrs. Diamond's playful submission too far, and she has since been the subject of some deplorable abuse online.

No doubt the husband is still enjoying Leicester's extraordinary season—and now he can watch it all at home with his beloved partner!
