The biggest highlight of the day was Federico Delbonis’ upset of No. 2 Andy Murray—6-4, 4-6, 7-6(3)—in a thrilling match that went two hours, 46 minutes.

Delbonis overcame a 4-1 deficit in the final set, winning four of the next five games while exploiting Murray’s error-filled afternoon.

The Argentine, who three years ago defeated Roger Federer, said Monday’s win was among his most monumental, courtesy of the BNP Paribas Open:

"

I have had a couple of big wins, but in this situation it was special. For that tournament, for that surface, for me is the best win.

I didn't do my job until I was 4-1 down in the third set. I had to play it more to his forehand. When I did that, I could break.

"

Murray didn’t have a single ace and was marred by three double-faults, but he had an incredible backhand volley in the second set that was among the highlights of the match, courtesy of the ATP World Tour:

In men’s doubles, Bob and Mike Bryan cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win a day after their grueling victory over Rafael Nadal and Fernando Verdasco

The Bryan brothers won handily in just under 49 minutes, winning 29 of their 41 service points and taking 23 of 47 return points.
