Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith has found a new home, confirming he signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday:

A former sixth overall draft pick out of Alabama, Smith played the first seven years of his career with the Bengals. However, he could not stay healthy. He's appeared in all 16 games only twice in seven years and played fewer than 10 games in a season three times.

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, who was Cincinnati's defensive coordinator from 2008 to 2013, is familiar with Smith, and the two men will be reunited next season.
