Toure Returns vs. Real Madrid

Wednesday, May 4

City named Yaya in its starting lineup for the trip to the Spanish capital.

Toure Still Important to City's Chances

Though not always a consistent performer from game to game—and even within games themselves—Toure is one of the most talented stars in City's squad.

His propensity to change games in an instant—often through a marauding run forward from midfield, a long-range screamer or a killer, defence-splitting pass—makes him vital to their ambitions.

Without him, their ability to produce big-game moments is somewhat blunted.

The Sky Blues will still enjoy creativity in midfield from the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, but the Belgian cannot match the power or presence Toure provides.
