Buddy Hield Thinks He Beats Buzzer with Half-Court Shot, Call Overturned

Buddy Hield draining a half-court shot at the buzzer to send the Oklahoma Sooners to the Big 12 tournament final seemed too good to be true.

The only problem was, it was exactly that. 

He didn't beat the buzzer.

Down 69-67 in the final moments of Friday night's semifinal against the West Virginia Mountaineers, Hield sank what appeared to be the game-winning shot from half court. The Sooners celebrated as if it were, storming the court, only for the call to be overturned upon review.

The Mountaineers escaped with the win and will take on the Kansas Jayhawks in the championship game Saturday.
