Marouane Fellaini Faces Possible Ban After Late Elbow on Emre Can
Manchester United could be without Marouane Fellaini for their UEFA Europa League second leg with Liverpool on March 17 after video footage appeared to show the Belgian midfielder elbowing Emre Can.
The incident occurred toward the end of the Reds' 2-0 win at Anfield on Thursday, a result that makes Jurgen Klopp's side the favourites to progress to the quarter-finals.
Fellaini was already on a yellow when he appeared to tread on Can's foot before throwing an arm in the face of the German. With the altercation seemingly missed by referee Carlos Velasco Carballo, retrospective action could see the midfielder banned.
