Taylor Swift Will Perform at the 2016 Formula 1 US Grand Prix in Austin

Formula One fans don't necessarily seem like Taylor Swift's target audience.

But the 26-year-old will have a chance to win over a new fanbase when she performs at this year's U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, reports CNN.

The race, which world champion Lewis Hamilton won last year, will be held at Austin's Circuit of the Americas in late October despite questions over its future.

"We are so happy to confirm F1's return to COTA as well as Taylor Swift's headline performance," COTA chairman Bobby Epstein said. "We can't think of a better way to mark this important five-year milestone for F1 in Austin."
