Brian Quick Re-Signs with Rams: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction
As the Los Angeles Rams embark on their first season in their new home, Brian Quick will be making the trip westward as well.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Quick and the Rams agreed to a one-year, $3.75 million deal with $1.5 million guaranteed. Quick's agents, SportsTrust Advisors, confirmed the news, per Rand Getlin of NFL Network.
The Rams selected Quick in the second round of the 2012 draft, and in the subsequent four years, he has been somewhat disappointing on the field. In 51 games, he has 64 receptions for 935 yards and seven touchdowns.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
SB Nation's Turf Show Times alluded to the fact Rams fans once had high expectations for Quick:
However, the Appalachian State alum was bound to benefit from what is an extremely thin wide receiver market. Beyond Alshon Jeffery, who was franchise-tagged by the Chicago Bears, there wasn't a lot of proven talent available.
The door has all but shut on Quick becoming a viable No. 1 wideout in the NFL. He'll turn 27 in June, and little throughout his career points to a breakout season in 2016. But that's not to say he offers the Rams no long-term value.
A shoulder injury ended Quick's 2014 season after seven games. He had 25 receptions, 375 yards and three touchdowns in those appearances. A full season at that pace (57 catches, 857 yards and seven touchdowns) would've changed the narrative around his career somewhat.
Football Outsiders' Cian Fahey wondered how much uneven quarterback play aside from that small blip ultimately hindered his performance:
"Brian Quick played the best of any receiver for the Rams since they drafted Bradford, but he hadn't developed til Bradford was sidelined.

Last September, Quick also revealed how his recovery from that shoulder injury seriously impacted his preseason preparations last year.
"As far as getting in the mix of everything, I just missed a lot last year," he said, per ESPN.com's Nick Wagoner. "I've still got to get the flow of things. I did camp, but I did it with the yellow [no contact] hat and defense wasn't able to tackle me or hit me, no contact. So I feel like playing those last two preseason games got the feel for things, and then going out there against the ones, it just helps me bring that back."
Now that he is healthy for the entire offseason, he should take a step forward from his performance in 2015.
Re-signing Quick isn't the kind of move that will excite the fanbase and radically improve the Rams' passing game. If he can return to his pre-injury 2014, though, he could become a valuable asset in the Los Angeles offense.
