Kyle NewportMar 7, 2016

After 18 seasons, Peyton Manning officially retired from the NFL on Monday.

Now, the city of Indianapolis will spend the next week honoring the future Hall of Famer.

Indianapolis mayor Joe Hogsett announced on Monday that the week of March 7 will be known as "Peyton Manning Appreciation Week" in his city. Because although he went out as a Bronco, the 14-time Pro Bowler spent the majority of his career with the Colts.

In 14 years (and 13 healthy seasons) in Indianapolis, Manning shattered records left and right, routinely led his team to the postseason and even won a Super Bowl. Manning and the team may not have had a storybook ending together, but the city has never stopped loving the quarterback.
