Orlando City midfielder Kaka paid tribute to Peyton Manning on Twitter after the legendary quarterback announced his retirement from American football on Monday.

Manning won two Super Bowls in an 18-season career with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, capping it off with the latter's success at Super Bowl 50.

His success made him a role model for athletes across the sporting world and prompted a touching farewell from 2002 FIFA World Cup winner Kaka.

The Brazilian joined MLS in 2014 after a hugely successful career in Europe with AC Milan and Real Madrid.
