Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Evans Visits with Buffalo Bills

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport included Evans' tweet in reporting that the 32-year-old was meeting with a possible free-agent suitor:
The Bills' official PR Twitter feed confirmed Evans was in for a visit.
Evans spent all 10 of his previous NFL seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He's been an integral part of the team's high-octane offense, which ranked second in total yards last season.
Parting ways with Evans would be particularly difficult for New Orleans due to his consistent production and the timing of his arrival, which was in 2006 as a fourth-round draft pick out of Bloomsburg University.
That was the same offseason legendary quarterback Drew Brees took over as the Saints' signal-caller. Evans' draft classmate, seventh-round pick Marques Colston, proceeded to become the franchise's all-time leading receiver.
Colston was released before free agency began, as was Evans, who wasn't inclined to take less money to help New Orleans' cap-space issues.
"The Saints came to us for the second year in a row about doing a little contract adjustment and pay cut this year," said Evans' agent, Jerrold Colton, on 94WIP (via CBS Philadelphia) in February, per the Times-Picayune's Evan Woodbery. "We weren't going to do it again. He's healthy and hungry and looking forward to the next chapter of his career."
Spotrac lists New Orleans with only $9,170,842 of cap room as of Monday, which is the third-lowest amount in the NFL.
A 2016 draft class needs to be accounted for, so the Saints' spending power is extremely limited. They will be hard-pressed to upgrade the roster, and at this pivotal, late juncture of Brees' career, he may well lose one of his anchors in Evans.
Evans is bound to draw interest from other teams than the Bills, but as far as what he could bring to the team, he's certainly an exceptional run-blocker and pass protector. Few guards have been steadier than him over the past decade.
Richie Incognito had a fine 2015 campaign in Buffalo, starting all 16 games and playing at a high level after being out of the NFL entirely the previous year. Incognito is a free agent, though, and Evans represents a potential upgrade in the trenches if the Bills can land him.
