LeBron James asked, and Kendrick Lamar fans received.

Credited with prompting the release of Untitled Unmastered., the Cleveland Cavaliers star deflected thanks back to the Compton, California-bred rapper for his eight-track, 34-minute piece that hit Spotify on Thursday night. 

James followed up an Instagram of him jamming to "Untitled 07" with a couple of tweets, praising Lamar for his unique perspective:
