There are games, and there are legendary battles that go down in school and state history.

This one falls under the latter.

On Thursday, two teams from southern Minnesota left it all on the court. According to Daniel Ring of the Waseca County News, Waseca emerged with a 103-100 victory over Marshall after four overtimes and three buzzer-beaters.

Best of all was the full-court heave from Nick Dufault at the end of the third overtime. With a second left and his team down by three after some Marshall foul shots, the guard threw up an 80-foot prayer.

It was answered, and madness ensued:

In the end, Waseca’s Cole Streich sealed the exhausting victory with a three-pointer at the horn:

Per the Waseca County News, Dufault dropped 43 points against his team’s Big South Conference rival.

Waseca now gets to play in the first round of the Class AAA state tournament on Wednesday at the University of Minnesota.
