WHERE HAVE ALL THE DRAWS GONE!!

Jason ReevesSep 27, 2009

Not that im complaining or anything but where are all the draws in the Premiership this season. Looking at the top 10 of the Premiership table this morning it came to my attention that none of the top 10 teams have drawn this season.

Is this season really threatening to be the best of all time? Well i think so.

With the departure's of Ronaldo and Tevez from Man Utd and an early away loss to Burnley, the Red Devils seemed off the pace, yet since that loss to Burnley they have gone on to win 5 games in a row.

It's almost the same with Liverpool, after 2 losses in their first 3 fixture's and Rafa seemingly missing his passing master Xabi Alonso, Liverpool were all but ruled out from winning the Premiership this season. Yet with Benitez's men recording 4 wins in a row and their World Class striker looking, well, World Class again Liverpool look in a healthy position to challenge. They are now only 3 points of the pace.

Chelsea have impressed the most this season to many, with Ancelloti getting the best out of his experienced players, and forming a formidable partnership between Anelka and Drogba. However, Wigan have thrown a spanner in the Blues works and Chelsea's defence looked frail at best on Saturday. That sent out a message that Chelsea are beatable.

Arsenal have lost twice in Manchester in two games they could have won, they have just about beaten Fulham away which they failed to do last season. Also with the departure's of Adebayor and Toure the players are starting to look like a team that are in it together.

Man City and Tottenham have been the most impressive of the rest outside the usual top 4. Both teams are being taken seriously this season with both scoring freely and racking up the wins. Man City's 100% record was broke last week but only because of awful timekeeping by the referee and it was ofcourse at Old Trafford.

With no draws from any of the teams mentioned, this season certainly is unfolding to be the best yet. I for one am anticipating each week as it comes and looking foward to seeing how the table looks come January and seeing who stays consistent and who falls by the wayside.
