Nike Air Foamposite Pro 'Pure Platinum' Release Date, Pics, Price
On Friday, Nike returns with another rendition of its ultra-popular Air Foamposite Pro model. Building off of Nike creative director Eric Avar's original design, the "Pure Platinum" Foamposite is a smart way to carry on the shoe's iconic legacy.
A muted, grey upper serves as the perfect base color considering spring is right around the corner. With that humble coat of paint drenching the body of the shoe, Nike’s design team decided to dabble with crimson molding along the ankle and topped it off with a glow-in-the-dark sole.

“Pure Platinum” is a classic Nike colorway. Associating that look with a timeless silhouette like the Foamposite is a sound business decision. Think about Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2 “Pure Platinum.” We know from experience this style resonates with consumers.

As dope as the shoe appears in daytime—and trust us, it looks great—when you flip the lights off and are forced into darkness, that’s when the Air Foamposite “Pure Platinum” shines.

The sneaker is illuminated by that glow-in-the-dark sole we touched on earlier. Paired with crimson trimming, the "Pure Platinum" design starts to resemble more of the “Black/Laser Crimson” edition that emerged in April 2014, per the folks over at Sneaker Bar Detroit.
Consumers who have purchased Foamposites in the past understand exactly what they’re getting into. It’s a sneaker that doesn’t come cheap. Foams are rugged, and despite the fact they appear to have been molded by being slung through the atmosphere, these shoes are actually very expensive.

Nike hasn’t changed its stance on price. The company went out and slapped the traditional $250 tag on these joints.
For consumers who love Foams, don't miss your chance to land the Air Foamposite Pro “Pure Platinum." These kicks are set to hit Nike’s SNKRS app Friday.
