OddsShark.comMar 2, 2016

The Los Angeles Clippers (39-20) will try to extend their winning streak to three games and beat the Oklahoma City Thunder (42-18) for the third time in five meetings when they square off at Staples Center on Wednesday.

The Clippers have covered the spread in the last two games between the teams, and they are consensus one-point home favorites against the Thunder at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark.

Los Angeles is coming off a pair of 10-point wins over the Sacramento Kings and Brooklyn Nets in its last two games, defeating the latter 105-95 Monday but failing to cover as 12-point home chalk.

Point guard Chris Paul has been outstanding in each victory for the Clippers, combining for 63 points on 21-of-35 shooting (60 percent) while dishing out 25 assists and grabbing 14 rebounds in the two contests.

Oklahoma City ended a two-game skid and won for just the second time in six games with an impressive 131-116 victory versus the Sacramento Kings as 8.5-point road favorites Monday.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 27 points, while Russell Westbrook tallied his ninth triple-double with 20 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds. Westbrook took just eight shots from the field—his lowest amount since January 13—and made six of them, but he turned the ball over seven times for the second straight game.

This will be the second meeting of the season between Los Angeles and Oklahoma City, which won 100-99 at Staples Center but did not cover as a two-point road favorite on December 21.

Paul had a team-high 32 points and 10 assists in that matchup, although he was upstaged on his home court by Westbrook, who totaled a game-high 33 points, seven assists and three steals in his team’s winning effort.

The Clippers are just 6-11 straight up and against the spread in the past 17 meetings with the Thunder dating back to the 2012-13 season, according to the Odds Shark NBA Database.

The under is 5-2 in the last seven head-to-head matchups, cashing four consecutive times in Los Angeles during that stretch. The under is also 8-2 in the previous 10 games for the Clips overall.
