The New Day's Best Booking Options for WWE WrestleMania 32
Over the past year, few factions or individuals on the WWE roster have managed to stand out quite like The New Day.
After a period when fans and pundits alike seemed sure that the group was destined for failure, this talented trio managed to turn things around, becoming a regular highlight of Monday Night Raw in the process.
In recent months, we've seen The New Day lose a little steam, as prominent contenders for the tag titles have all but dried up. However, the Showcase of the Immortals could be the perfect platform to reinvigorate the group's reign.

Here are the best booking options for The New Day at WrestleMania.
AJ Styles and Chris Jericho vs. The New Day
Amid all the funny backstage skits, unicorn headbands and all-around positivity, it's easy to forget that The New Day isn't just a comedy trio. Its character work is great, but that shouldn't imply that any member of the group is a slouch between the ropes.
Kofi Kingston is a seasoned veteran who can keep pace with just about anyone on the roster. Big E is an above-average heavyweight with some seriously impressive power moves. Even Xavier Woods, who gets the least in-ring action of the trio, has proved his significant skills many times.
The perfect way to showcase the wrestling acumen of The New Day would be to have the trio square off with a tag team that's got some serious in-ring credentials—and who fits that bill better than AJ Styles and Chris Jericho?

Recently, we've seen Styles and Jericho put their differences aside to form a tag team, and now they're dipping into a feud with The New Day. It remains to be seen whether the rivalry will extend to WrestleMania, but it offers up the prospect for a great match.
It's become the norm to see the WWE Tag Team Championships put on the line in a multi-team match at the biggest show of the year. Why not buck that trend, slimming the bout down to a standard tag match where capable teams put on a lengthy, engaging contest?
Tag Team Turmoil
While there are definite advantages to cutting the fat in the prospective WrestleMania Tag Team Championships defence, the idea of a multi-team brawl always has its own appeal.
Given that there aren't too many fresh matchups lingering for The New Day, having the group run the gauntlet through its division could make for a compelling segment on the pay-per-view.
Having Kingston, Woods and E fend off all comers would be a great way to establish them as the top faction in WWE going forward. If the group is going to grow more serious, this could be a key step in that process.
WrestleMania typically features a match designed to get as many active wrestlers as possible onto the card. Given that we haven't had any confirmation of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal making a return for 2016, this could be a novel method of doing so.
Big Cass and Enzo Amore vs. The New Day
At Fastlane, an interview segment between Edge and Christian and The New Day seemed like a prime opportunity to set up a WrestleMania program for the champions, perhaps introducing a new tag team to the main roster. However, nothing like that came to pass.
It's perhaps too late now for a pre-WrestleMania NXT call-up, but there is no better pair of opponents for The New Day than Big Cass and Enzo Amore.
They're a great fit in terms of being brash personalities, and their popularity with audiences during their time in developmental seems likely to accompany them to the main roster. Outside of The Usos, the tag division is light on fan favourites, and Enzo and Cass could help address that balance.
At this point, The New Day has held the titles for so long that its reign coming to an end has to mean something. Given the lack of potent contenders, using the switch to legitimize an up-and-coming tag team might be the best course of action.
