There were worrying scenes prior to Hannover 96's Bundesliga clash with Wolfsburg on Tuesday, as the home bench was hit by a flare thrown from the crowd.
Viewers on Twitter suggested the flare had been thrown from the travelling Wolfsburg support, its sudden collision with the Hannover dugout causing shocked players to flee for cover.

The incident occurred shortly before kick-off at the HDI Arena, with Wolfsburg storming into a 3-0 lead within an hour of the start.
