Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho Slipped on Wembley Steps After League Cup Final

Poor Liverpool.

The Reds just can't catch a break, and even at their most vulnerable, the internet has taken its opportunity to bring up the last time they came so agonisingly close to a trophy.

Jurgen Klopp's side lost Sunday's League Cup final to Manchester City on penalties and one of those who failed to convert his spot-kick, Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, had an embarrassing post-match moment caught on film.

As he made his way up the Wembley steps, the 23-year-old slipped and—as is customary at football these days—there was at least one camera phone pointed in his direction.

To make matters worse, the caption would have just added to their pain: "doing the Steven Gerrard."
