'Vegas Dave' Oancea Has Bet $77,000 on Miesha Tate to Beat Holly Holm

Joe GallagherFeb 29, 2016

Apparently the philosophy of quitting while you're ahead doesn't apply to Dave Oancea.

The professional gambler, who won a staggering $240,000 from a $20,000 bet on Holly Holm to beat Ronda Rousey in November, is at it again, according to MMAjunkie.

The man known as "Vegas Dave" has placed a $77,000 wager on Holm to be upset by Miesha Tate in Las Vegas on Saturday.

"He just texted me earlier today," Tate said to MMAjunkie Radio. "He said, 'I'm upping my bet to $77,000.'"

He stands to win $192,500 if successful, which pales in comparison to the $2,457,200 he won from 26 bets (between $500 and $25,000) on the Kansas City Royals' World Series win in 2015.
