NFL Combine 2016: Live Results, Analysis and Highlights for DB Workouts

Brent SobleskiFeb 29, 2016

Monday was the final day of the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine, and one of the most talented groups took the field at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to provide an exclamation point to the event.

This year's group of defensive backs features three potential top-10 picks. Florida State's Jalen Ramsey, Clemson's Mackensie Alexander and Florida's Vernon Hargreaves are in the running to become the first defensive back drafted in April.

Ramsey, in particular, shined in this setting. The Florida State product is a standout track and field athlete, and his workout lived up to expectations.

Meanwhile, a top safety prospect has yet to emerge. Duke's Jeremy Cash, Boise State's Darian Thompson, Florida's Keanu Neal, LSU's Jalen Mills and Ohio State's Vonn Bell are all in the conversation, but none of them stepped up to claim the top spot at the combine.

There's still time for things to settle. The window to do so is getting smaller, though.

Hopefully, everyone enjoyed watching these young men parade around in spandex over the past four days in an attempt to earn a place in the NFL. The draft process doesn't stop in Indianapolis, but the combine certainly provides a bigger picture to the overall evaluation.

After all, the 2016 NFL Draft is only 60 days away, and the Tennessee Titans are officially on the clock.
