James O'Connor Reportedly Suffered Cardiac Issue After Match vs. Oyonnax
Toulon utility back James O'Connor was taken to the hospital after the win over Oyonnax last Sunday after suffering an apparent cardiac issue while on the team bus.
According to Matthew Southcombe of Wales Online, it was initially feared he had suffered a heart attack, but O'Connor has since taken to Twitter to explain he suffered hypoglycemia, reassuring his fans in the process:
Per ITV's Martin Gillingham, team-mate Mamuka Gorgodze provided "treatment" before the Australian was transported to the hospital:
While the incident occurred last Sunday after Toulon's 44-13 win, details didn't start to surface until Friday, and the club isn't expected to release any information at this time.
At the very least, the Australia international is expected to miss a significant amount of time, per Southcombe.

O'Connor was a member of the Wallabies team that won the bronze medal at the 2011 Rugby World Cup, but he failed to make the team for last year's tournament. Off-field issues have followed him throughout his young career, per Agence France-Presse (forABC.net.au), leading to his departure for Europe in 2013.
He has been playing for Toulon since last year after a strong spell with London Irish between 2013 and 2014.
