Cat on the Court Stops Play During Qatar Tennis Open
Tom WebbFeb 25, 2016
A tennis match between Roberta Vinci and Cagla Buyukakcay in Doha, Qatar, was temporarily halted on Wednesday, when a cat made its way onto the court.
The players were competing for a place in the quarter-finals of the Qatar Open when the feline intruder made its appearance, prompting a ballboy and ballgirl to chase it away.
The break in play did nothing to upset Vinci's rhythm, as the Italian secured a 7-5, 6-1 win once play resumed.
