Azarenka Out at Acapulco

Azarenka withdrew from the tournament on Wednesday because of injury, according to WTA Insider.
Injuries Continue to Plague Azarenka
Azarenka suffered an injury to her left wrist, according to WTA Insider, which allowed Dominika Cibulkova to get a walkover into the quarterfinals.
Azarenka started the 2016 season in good form by winning the Brisbane International and making it to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. She then defeated Polona Hercog in the first round at Acapulco on Tuesday before her withdrawal.
However, injuries continue to limit her play.
Azarenka missed almost four months of play in 2014 because of a foot injury, per Courtney Nguyen of WTA Tennis' official website. It didn't get much better in 2015, when she was forced to withdraw from five tournaments because of a number injuries, according to Nguyen.
"The important thing for me is to get my body fit 100 percent, on a consistent basis. I have a lot of work to do," Azarenka told Nguyen back in September. "That's why I think my mind is a little bit thinking too much for the next year because I have a plan what to do already in my off-season. I guess that kind of distracts me a little bit."
A timetable for a return has not been disclosed yet for the two-time Australian Open winner. When it comes to her health, though, it might be better for Azarenka to sit out and ensure she is good to go for a busy 2016 season.
With the 2016 season in its infancy, Azarenka will have plenty of time to recover and work her way back up to an elite level. If she has any hope of climbing the world rankings, she'll need to be healthy and at her best to take on the likes of Serena Williams and Angelique Kerber in the future.
