Lynch Comments on Private Workout with Cowboys
Wednesday, March 30
Chase Goodbread of NFL.com provided comments from Lynch, who spoke about his March workout with the Cowboys:
"They had me do some three-step drop stuff, but it was mostly deeper drops and deeper throws. They had me throwing some long out routes, and some deeper comeback routes across the field. They had me push the ball vertically on some seam routes and deep corner routes. Then they put me on the run for some of it, to see my athleticism and see me outside the pocket. I definitely enjoy pushing the ball down the field, and that's what they were most impressed about, how strong my arm was.
"
"I like the coaching staff—that team is the face of the NFL almost—they're so renowned with the success of that franchise," Lynch explained, per Goodbread.

Bills Have Inquired About Lynch
Tuesday, Feb. 23
Lynch's high school coach at Trinity Christian, Allen Johnson, told Brian Linder of the Daytona Beach News-Journal last November (via NFL.com's Dan Parr) that he had received a call from the Bills among other teams about the 22-year-old.
Tyrod Taylor played well for the Bills last season with 3,603 total yards and 24 total touchdowns in 14 games, but head coach Rex Ryan may want to find a more traditional pocket passer to build around.
Broncos Have Looked into Lynch
Tuesday, Feb. 23
Johnson told Linder, via Parr, that the Broncos were one of the teams that reached out regarding the signal-caller.
The Broncos are the most intriguing team in the mix because they have a lot of questions at quarterback next season. Peyton Manning hasn't made a decision about retirement, though his $19 million salary certainly makes him a candidate to be released if he opts to play in 2016.
Brock Osweiler is scheduled to become a free agent, so the reigning Super Bowl champions have two weeks before free agency begins to figure out their immediate plans.
Texans Have Done Research on Lynch
Tuesday, Feb. 23
Johnson told Linder, via Parr, that the Houston Texans have done some digging into Lynch ahead of the draft.
The Texans' quarterback situation last year was a mess, even as they won the AFC South. They went through four different starters due to injuries and poor performance in 2015, and their season ended with Brian Hoyer throwing four interceptions against Kansas City in the AFC Wild Card Game.
Lynch Unlikely to Wait Long on Draft Day
Given where Miller has Lynch going in his mock draft, all three of those teams would have to make a substantial move up to acquire him. The Bills pick first out of that trio at No. 19, followed by the Texans (No. 22) and Broncos (No. 31).
Lynch still has a long road ahead of him before the draft, with his stock likely to fluctuate over the next three weeks, but being compared to a longtime starter who won a Super Bowl is a good way to get the ball rolling heading into the draft.
