Wade Continues to be Hampered by Injuries
Wade's medical history has been well-documented. The 34-year-old has never played a full season, and as he gets older, he pays more and more for the physically demanding style he utilized during his first few years in the NBA.
The Heat have been proactive in terms of limiting his playing time, giving him mandatory rest and sitting him down at the faintest hint of a problem in order to preserve him for the playoffs. Most recently, Wade experienced soreness in his left knee, which warranted an MRI.
The Heat are positioned well in the standings, but Wade's brief absence, coupled with Chris Bosh's unspecified health condition, left the team in a tough position.
