Marshawn Lynch and Hugh Jackman Coach Football for Oakland Tech High School

Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch is still taking time to coach up some high school athletes despite his decision to hang up his cleats as a pro.

But perhaps it was more than just a yearning for football that brought him back to the field.

After all, Beast Mode was working alongside movie star Hugh Jackman.

The event, held in Oakland on Saturday, was part of the Australian actor's promotional sweep through the San Francisco sector for his upcoming film Eddie the Eagle.

According to NBC Bay Area's Steve Wheelock and Rhea Mahbubani, Jackman likened Lynch to his character, British Olympic ski-jumper Michael Edwards. 

"He did it his way—not dissimilar to Marshawn," he said.

For the sake of the movie, though, let's hope "The Eagle" doesn't have Lynch's aversion to prolonged conversation.
