Edin Dzeko Misses Extraordinary Open Goal in Roma's Match with Palermo
Tom WebbFeb 21, 2016
Edin Dzeko submitted his best effort for the next football bloopers compilation with an astonishing miss on an open goal in Roma's Serie A tie with Palermo at the Stadio Olimpico.
The score was goalless with 28 minutes played when a low cross found it's way through to Dzeko right in front of goal, only for the forward to somehow screw his effort wide of the post from three yards out.
Fortunately, the Bosnian redeemed himself two minutes later, taking Miralem Pjanic's cross on the chest before firing a shot past the goalkeeper.
