As WrestleMania 32 approaches, the WWE Universe is excited to see what kind of big stars the company can add to the festivities, and there is no bigger name than Stone Cold Steve Austin.

In a recent interview with Ring Rust Radio, Austin spoke about whether he intends on being at WrestleMania 32 and what his role might be, saying, “As far as my role, I don't know yet. I haven't talked to anybody about it. I expect to be in Dallas, Texas, and I expect to do something, I just don't know what it is.”

While it is unclear which role Austin will fill at WWE’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, here are the best possible options for the wrestling legend.

Austin Aligns with Shane McMahon Against Vince McMahon

Many fans consider the greatest feud in wrestling history to be the one between Austin and WWE chairman Vince McMahon, and what better way to get Austin involved at WrestleMania 32 than by siding with Shane McMahon against his father?

Right now, Shane is expected to fight The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match, but there are still five weeks of build until we get to WrestleMania. The company must add even more intrigue and depth to this storyline, and Austin has the mainstream appeal to take this angle to the next level.

Not only would the addition of Austin add to the allure of the Shane vs. Vince McMahon overarching battle, but it would also reignite a rivalry between Austin and The Undertaker that was a huge part of the Attitude Era.

While Austin working as the special guest referee for a Hell in a Cell match would not be the best usage of his talents, allowing him to give Shane a pep talk before the event and eventually giving a stunner to Vince McMahon outside the cell once he tries to get involved would make for a genuine mark-out moment for fans.

Regardless of how he would get involved in the Shane vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania 32, reigniting Austin’s feud against Vince McMahon would make for amazing programming.

Austin Aligns with Roman Reigns

The WWE is dead set on getting Roman Reigns over—even though the experiment is clearly not working—and one way for Vince McMahon to ensure his pet project succeeds would be to put Austin in Reigns' corner against Triple H.

Reigns will be squaring off against Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and the company should be fearful of the reaction following the negativity toward Reigns over the last several months.

One way to deflect the boos would be to have Vince and Stephanie McMahon in Triple H’s corner and both The Rock and Austin standing in the corner of the No. 1 contender. It may sound like overkill, but associating Reigns with Austin and The Rock may be the only way he gets a positive reaction from the WWE Universe in Dallas.

Austin is from Texas, and the crowd at AT&T Stadium will be 100 percent behind him. Even if the fans dislike Reigns, having Austin and The Rock behind him will force even the most jaded fans to support him.

While Austin putting over Reigns isn’t what most fans want to see the legend doing at WrestleMania 32, this could be the best booking option for the Texas Rattlesnake from the point of view of Vince McMahon.
