Statistics Reveal Barcelona Are the Worst Penalty Takers in Europe
Barcelona have come under fire for their controversial use of the pass-penalty against Celta Vigo on Sunday but statistics reveal that maybe Luis Enrique's side were right to try something different from the spot.
Sport report that the La Liga champions have won more penalties (12) than any other side in Europe's top five leagues, of which they have missed half.
Their front three of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar are all guilty of having missed from the spot this season, while the Uruguayan wasted another chance against Sporting Gijon on Wednesday.

Though, admittedly, their half-dozen misses from 12 yards include Messi's cheeky pass to Suarez on Sunday.
They are followed by the Premier League's Leicester City (10) and Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich (8), while Ligue 1 side Rennes are the next most wasteful, having missed four of their efforts from the penalty spot.
Still, though; six missed penalties and a six-point lead atop La Liga? Enrique won't be complaining too loudly.
