In the 81st minute, Messi won a penalty when he was felled in the area and looked set to convert it for his 300th La Liga goal. Rather than reach that milestone, however, the Argentinian selflessly laid the ball off for Suarez—who completed the Cruyff-Olsen routine that Robert Pires and Thierry Henry famously botched.
Evidently, Cesc Fabregas was impressed with the effort, which he posted to Instagram with the caption "Otro nivel" ("another level"):
Replays suggested Suarez had actually encroached on the area before the ball was touched—and therefore the goal should not have stood—but let's take nothing away from this audacious moment!
