WWE Rumors: Buzz on Road to WWE Fastlane 2016 for Week of Feb. 12

Aaron BowerFeb 12, 2016

With just over a week until WWE Fastlane and WrestleMania 32, this week's rumors once again focus around the plans for the biggest show of the year.

Speculation that WWE has shelved one of its WrestleMania matches will surely please the majority of the company's fans, with the latest on a suspension that emerged in the hours after Raw this past week also part of the rumor roundup.

More on Titus O'Neil's Suspension

There was a shock revelation from WWE earlier this week when it emerged that Titus O'Neil had been suspended for "unprofessional conduct."

The suspension reportedly happened due to Titus grabbing Vince McMahon at the end of the Daniel Bryan retirement angle on the WWE Network.

Wrestling Observer Live's Bryan Alvarez (h/t LordsofPain.net) notes that Vince reportedly hit Titus with the suspension in order to put a message out to the locker room that unprofessional behavior won't be tolerated.

Alvarez mentions that there have been a number of talents "riding the line" regarding the company and its rules.

O'Neil was reportedly the fall guy for such unprofessional antics, with McMahon seemingly making an example out of him. It'll be interesting to see if Titus' decent unbeaten run, which had gone three months, continues when he comes back from the suspension.

Braun Strowman in Line for Major Push?

It seems that Braun Strowman vs. The Undertaker is now dead in the water regarding a match at WrestleMania 32.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlingInc) notes that Strowman will now not face Undertaker at the event and could instead go on to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

That would reportedly set him up for a big push toward the middle part of the year, with speculation in the report that Strowman could even go into a feud with Roman Reigns, perhaps for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

And even further down the line than that, it's noted Strowman may end up fighting Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

It seems that regardless of what people think of him, WWE is determined to go ahead and push Strowman through the roof.

Kevin Owens' WrestleMania Plans?

With Braun Strowman vs. The Undertaker not happening, there is obviously a gap for someone to fill and take on Taker at WrestleMania 32.

It's unclear who will be the one to take him on at the biggest pay-per-view, but according to one report this week, Kevin Owens asked for the shot.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlingInc) reports that Owens worked hard backstage to try to get the match against The Deadman, but he was told that it wouldn't happen.

With Owens not getting a chance against him, you wonder who it might be. It's obviously going to be a surprise, as there are few clues out there regarding who Taker could fight.

Taker vs. Owens may have been pretty cool to watch, but it could have been just a touch too early for K.O.
